What is Village in the Shade?
Village in the Shade is a hand-painted farming and life sim with a horror twist, developed by Nippon Ichi Software — the team behind Yomawari and htoL#NiQ — and published in the west by NIS America. You wake from a ten-year nap and settle in Kagatsu, a quiet mountain village where farming, fishing, hunting, and festivals fill the days.
But Kagatsu keeps old rules: don't talk to strangers, don't pry, and never stay out past nightfall. Follow them and life stays cozy; break them and the mountains start watching back. A Sunshine Mode strips the scares for players who just want the farm life.
