Tobari's documented role
Tobari is one of Kagatsu’s named villagers, and the one the official record attaches to the village’s shrine systems:
- Patch 1.20’s farmland expansion lists “Tobari’s hokora request” among the conditions for buying the extra plot in Shade mode (Sunshine mode uses Nago’s move-in instead) — Tobari is part of the standard mode’s progression.
- The crossroads hokora (small shrine) itself gates upgrades: restoring it to stage 3 unlocks the Seeder purchase at the General Store (Patch 1.30).
- Tobari appears in official character material alongside Rin, Komako, Shiroji, Yuta, and Chinana.
What we won't tell you
Tobari’s place in the story — who they are beneath the village’s surface — is exactly the kind of content this page refuses to spoil. The game’s mystery hinges on the villagers being “a little off,” and official profiles are deliberately thin. Our spoiler-flagged ending notes discuss the story’s shape with warnings; this profile stays gameplay-focused.
