The seven supported languages
English, Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, French, and Spanish (Spain). All seven carry full marks across interface and subtitles on the Steam language table — there is no voice acting to worry about in any language.
Steam (PC)
- Steam versions follow the Steam client language setting for the game: right-click the game → Properties → Language, then pick from the supported list.
- The in-game options menu also exposes language settings where the platform allows it.
PlayStation 5
- Console versions read the system language first. Set your PS5 system language to one of the seven and the game follows.
- Region of your account can affect store availability — the game is available in western storefronts since October 27, 2026.
Nintendo Switch / Switch 2
- Same pattern: the game follows the console’s system language setting when a supported language is selected.
- Japanese and Chinese were available from the July launch; English, French, and Spanish arrived with the October 27 global release and Patch 1.30.
Not supported
- Russian, German, Portuguese, Italian — no official support announced. See Russian translation for the community situation.
One caveat worth knowing
Some story-day events (like Patch 1.30’s birthday events) won’t trigger during certain story sections or on thunderstorm days — unrelated to language, but a frequent “is my game broken?” question that’s actually by design. Our updates page tracks event conditions like these.
