Village in the Shade’s seven official languages are English, Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, French, and Spanish. Russian is not among them, and Nippon Ichi / NIS America have not announced one.
Why the searches exist anyway
Search data consistently shows Russian-language queries (“village in the shade русификатор” — “localizer/translation patch”) among the game’s top associated searches. That demand comes from the game’s strong Japanese-launch buzz — it sold 250,000+ copies in Japan by late September 2026 — reaching Russian-speaking farming-sim and horror communities months before any official localization decision.
We do not link or endorse specific fan русификатор projects: unofficial patches vary in quality, can break with every free update (the game has shipped 1.05 → 1.30 in three months), and modding a game you do not own is piracy. If a fan translation matures and stabilizes, we will document its existence here with appropriate cautions.
Your realistic options
- Play in English — the official global version since October 27, 2026 (see English release date).
- Wait for official news — the 2027 DLC window is the most plausible moment for language expansion announcements; our updates page tracks official news only.
- Community spaces — fan communities sometimes produce glossaries and guides in Russian that stop short of patching game files.
