Official Spanish — since day one of the global launch
Spanish (Spain) is one of Village in the Shade’s seven official languages. It arrived with Patch 1.30 on October 27, 2026, the same update that added English and French for the worldwide release. No fan translation is needed on any platform:
What's covered
- Full interface and subtitle support per the official Steam language table.
- The same content as every other language: Patch 1.20’s livestock and camping furniture, Patch 1.30’s birthday events and Seeder, and all seven languages’ text.
How to enable it
- Consoles: set your system language to Spanish; the game follows.
- Steam: Properties → Language → Spanish.

One Spanish, not two
The official listing specifies Spanish (Spain). Latin American Spanish has no separate official variant — if the store in your region lists “Español,” that is the same localization. This wiki will note any regional differences if official sources publish them.
